What is Rain Walks with Mark?

Rain: perhaps the most despised normal type of weather in existence. People love to complain about a rainy day, especially in western culture, calling it “nasty” or “bad” weather. But without rain we’d all be dead! What the hell is everyone’s problem?

Rainwalks With Mark is the story of one pluviophile’s mission to make people like rain. They told him it was impossible, that it was pure folly, and they might be right. But perhaps the pluviophobic masses have just never thought about all the different ways you can think about rain? Perhaps if they had someone to philosophize at them and point out exciting observations on rain they could change their shitty tune about “shitty weather.”

Mark has been working hard on it for over a year now, having posted over 60 videos already under the hashtag #rainwalkswithmark, but progress is slow. Change is slow. He has not convinced many people to walk around in the rain with him, but he has noticed something strange: People seem to think it’s funny to watch him walk around in the rain and talk about it, which he doesn’t understand at all, because he’s dead serious about it.
